To serve as a clinical nurse manager for the Texas Fetal Center for Fetal Cardiology/Anomaly Care. Coordinator of the fetal cardiology, fetal intervention patient, anomaly patient population referred to the Texas Fetal Center. Will work closely with the Director of Fetal Cadiology and The Tiny Tickers educational program. Responsibilities include providing prenatal clinical consultation, education, care coordination, and counseling to women pregnant with multiple gestations, a fetus with an anomaly or requiring fetal intervention/surgery. Other responsibilities include:
? Collaborating with the members of the center team to establish patient care plans and care coordination
? Assisting with quality assurance, strategic planning, marketing, customer and patient relations, policy setting, training and education, research and community outreach.
Works directly with the Fetal Cardiology Director leading outreach and education in the community with physicians and sonographers.
Acts as a Leader and Coordinator within the Fetal Center with the "Tiny Tickers" Program.
Coordinates care of anomaly patients across various departments and sub-specialty services by demonstrating commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer.
Coordinates care of fetal intervention patients across service lines (inpatient, outpatient, OR, etc) by demonstrating commitment to team flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
Collects and maintains data on all Fetal Center patient referrals and consults.
Provides education, counseling, case management and psychosocial support to women with pregnancies potentially requiring fetal care/intervention/therapy.
Responsible and accountable for the initial consultation and care coordination of Fetal Center cardiac and anomaly patients.
Current nursing Licensure in the State of Texas. Bachelor's degree in Nursing frm an accredited nursing school and three years experience.
Prior Supervisory experience.
Department strongly wants for completely satisfactory performance in this job is a strong knowledge of fetal/neonatal cardiology including congenital defects; pediatric nursing and knowledge of surgical procedures is a plus.
Three years' nursing experience in fetal/pediatric cardiovascular department perferred; prior supervisory experience preferred.
