Training Manager responsible for the leadership role in the
coordination of sites training activities at the AN sites in Fairfield CA and Casa Grande, AZ. Accountable for payroll and expenses for department at both locations.. Responsible for maintaining all training records in an audit-ready status. Responsible for implementing plans/procedures to correct or prevent audit observations. Responsible for ensuring employees adhere to all applicable regulatory policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for creating developmental opportunities that assist employees to achieve a higher level of performance on competencies.

The Manager of Plant Training & Development is responsible for managing the training function to achieve organizational goals relating to educational and developmental objectives, technical training, leadership training, required training compliance, and organizational development efforts. The primary objective of this position is to enhance employee skill and knowledge and assess effectiveness of training to ensure optimum performance of all employees.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality training tracking and documentation system.
Required Training Management-responsible for maintaining all training records in an audit-ready status, implements countermeasures to prevent audit observations, ensures staff understands regulatory requirements, facilitates departments’ completion of required training, reviews all required training profiles for accuracy and completeness, partners with plant staff during internal/external audits, develops methods for delivering required training.
Developmental Training Management-responsible for identifying developmental training needs for general plant population, plant leadership, and specific departments; develops, coordinates and conducts developmental training; identifies resources/vendors; consults with plant management on developmental issues; assesses the effectiveness of training; oversees the mentoring initiative to ensure quality training, effective pairing, and necessary support for mentoring relationships
Staff Management-responsible for selection/interviewing of Training Staff and Training Technicians, communicating job expectations, delegating assignments, conducting performance appraisals, developing growth plans, communicating/implementing all human resources policies, and ensuring good employee relations.
Budget Management-assures financial performance goals are met, submits contracts and invoices for state grant funds.
Will have Direct Report responsibilities for salaried and non-salaried employees
Five to seven years
manufacturing training experience or equivalent required.
Professional training certification (DDI, Achieve Global, etc.) is preferred. Three to five years supervisory experience required. Experience in manufacturing and/or technical training, strategic planning and organizational development is preferred. Must possess excellent skills in spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software and database maintenance; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service/consulting/collaborating skills; excellent presentation/group facilitation skills; good organizational/project management skills; the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions is required. Must demonstrate initiative, innovation and good analytical problem solving skills. Must be able to interact with all levels and disciplines of employees. Must be a strategic thinker and able to motivate staff to implement a training strategy that takes the plant to a higher level of technical and developmental behavior.
SHRM certification as a highly desired
Knowledge of LMS – stating ComplianceWire
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communication, etc. or equivalent required
