SUMMARY:Manages the work of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) shared service staff supporting the North American operations following established company policies with a mission to drive standardization and automation into the processes. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages, coordinates, monitors and controls the performance or the AP (invoice processing, expense reports, credit card program management, intercompany, mailroom services, etc.) and AR (credit, cash applications, collections, etc.) functions for the North American operations with a mission to drive standardization and automation into our processes. Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and standardization. Interface with the businesses to understand their requirements and manage them into a centralized, standardized process. Interface with other corporate departments and continue to evolve into one shared services function and other geographies Metrics reporting outward to the businesses and upward to management Performance management of the department through KPIs Communicates with customers & suppliers on advanced level issues and reconciles any discrepancies. Provides information, guidance, training and support to the staff. Develops and tracks project schedules. Prepares and monitors the departmental budget. Monitor SSC P&L with focus on containing costs. Develops, monitors and maintains service level agreements with customers. Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, insures positive employee relations and reviews the performance of employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting/ Finance or related business field.EXPERIENCE:8 to 10 years of finance experience with 3-5 years in a managerial position. Preferably experience in shared services environment.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Ability to handle increased scope (width and geographical) of shared service center reach. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Good presentation skills. Planning, prioritization and project management skills. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills. Must be able to handle confidential information.
