UAHN offers 100% fully funded ICD-10 training to our Credentialed Coders. This allows our professionals to obtain 18 AHIMA or 12 AAPC approved CEUâs upon successful completion of the ICD-10 courses.
Provides leadership, planning, guidance and sets direction for the facility coding operations across UAHN campuses. Oversees and manages the revenue cycle initiatives to assure goals are met. Is the coding and abstracting subject matter expert to provide support, advice, and direction for implementation and management of medical record related application systems. Responsible for performing ongoing quality audits and continuous education sessions to coding teams.
Coding Certification required. 3 years prior supervisory, project management experience, change management and demonstrated leadership skills. Five years progressive coding experience in an acute care and/or in an academic medical center. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS coding principles and practices
Education and experience equivalent to a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Credential or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and ICD-10 Approved Trainer. Knowledge of charge master, coding products, EMR and billing programs. Experience with the Epic medical record application system is highly preferred.
