Under the direction of the Associate Director, Creative Services & Field Marketing: The Experiential Marketing manager will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing short- and long-term experiential and field marketing strategies and activities. In this role, the Experiential Marketing Manager will strategize with Commercial and Government Programs SBU Executives and Marketing leadership to create and execute relevant and on Brand consumer and business events, sponsorship opportunities and initiatives that further MVP s Vision and Mission and support customer acquisition and retention. This leader will be responsible for developing unique experiential marketing initiatives that support MVP s success in marketplace Exchanges as well as MVP s growth in off-exchange consumer and business growth in all segments. The key to success will be the ability to think strategically and to understand regional nuances and differences and have knowledge of public relations and branding strategies while identifying unique experiential and sponsorship opportunities for MVP. Experiential and Field Marketing supports sales and marketing product launches in NYS, VT and NH and further marketplace penetration by developing and refining strategies around key messages, communication methods and tactical deployment/execution of branded events. This Manager represents MVP in the community and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with key external vendors and C-level contacts and be extremely comfortable speaking in front of large audiences and with the media on occasion. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education: BA degree. An advanced degree in communications, marketing or public relations is preferred. Minimum Experience: At least 5 -10 years of field marketing/community relations and event marketing experience. At least 2 - 3 years in supervisor or management capacity. Required Skills: A strong understanding of marketing and branding principles. A proven leader in developing strategy and plans. A strong understanding of the experiential/field marketing and community relations landscape. A proven leader/manager able to motivate staff, give clear direction and manage to goals; including hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel; removing barriers and helping develop people s skills; articulating expectations and clarifying roles and relationships; communicating which includes helping people transform information into knowledge learning and action. Ability to work outside the normal business day including travel throughout the MVP footprint (NYS, VT and NH). Demonstrates ability to negotiate & build consensus. Ability to work independently & cross-functionally with other departments. Experienced in budget management and tracking to goals. Outstanding organizational skills & the ability to handle multiple tasks & take direction from several internal customers. Exceptional communication skills including writing, editing, PPT development.A working knowledge of advertising and sales. Preferred Skills: Public Relations Experience. Social Media Experience.B2B or B2C campaign strategy development experience. Strong PPT development skills. Design experience with Quark and/or Indesign.
