Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Reports Directly To: Group Controller

Location: Irvine CA

Position Summary: Curtiss Wright, Integrated Sensing is looking for a strong contributor to provide financial analysis and decision support services at the Manager level to help drive process improvements within a growing company. This role will help oversee and consolidate business activities on domestic and international levels, and will report to the Group Controller. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer, who thrives in a fast paced, demanding environment with the ability to think strategically and handle tactical issues as they arise.

Major Responsibilities
  • Manage and consolidate the financials on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Prepare and present financial performance to management.
  • Contribute to and review the accurate and timely forecasting and analysis submissions of the business operations. Provide reliable and insightful variance analysis regarding performance as compared to budgets and forecasts on a cost center and entity level. Assist with monthly and quarterly operating results packages.
  • Work closely with operations and divisional finance teams to provide support and analyses to include conducting monthly cost center review meetings with budget owners.
  • Partner with internal business groups to collect, analyze and report financial results and insights. Research and analyze key business drivers, trends and performance indicators.
  • Maintain forecasting, budget and key operating metrics database within applicable business intelligence system; assist with implementation of new tools and systems.
  • Help identify areas for process improvement with financial operating mechanisms to drive needed change across the business.
  • Work closely with the Accounting department to ensure planning assumptions are aligned with accounting and reporting standards. Coordinate changes as necessary to support planning assumptions.
  • Work with senior leaders, finance management and peers on strategic and ad hoc projects as they arise.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelors degree in an economics or business related field, MBA or CPA preferred
  • Previous public company FP&A experience with full P&L analysis preferred
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a similar role or 5+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience; experience with operations preferred
  • Extensive Excel experience and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with detailed forecasting and analysis with the ability to analyze the overall financial picture and assess opportunities and issues within the business
  • Experience with SAP-BPC or similar financial reporting tool and Syteline ERP a plus
  • Proficiency in computer-based analysis and complex financial modeling, advanced Excel user
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Thorough, self-directed, self-motivated, positive, and energetic
  • Strong oral, written, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to flex and adapt work schedule to changing business demands
  • Some travel required
