This position reports to VP, Game Services. Manager, Game Services travels between Olympic Games and is on-site in the Olympic city for approximately 10-14 weeks during the Olympic Games
Responsible for the planning and budget oversight of NBC Olympics’ travel administration, catering and accreditation for the Olympic Games.
Negotiate and contract air contracts, specifically charter air agreements; ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
Responsible for the management of accreditation including the assignment of credentials to NBC personnel, vendors, affiliates, etc. and accreditation submission(s) to the organizing committee.
Responsible for development and cost projections and regular financial reporting for the areas of air and catering.
Work directly with Comcast, NBC News and other entities such as Access Hollywood to determine air, catering and accreditation needs and fulfill requests; track all bill backs.
Other assignments as assigned by VP, Games Services. Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
Minimum eight (8) years of project management, preferably in the area of travel and catering, and/or special events
Previous experience in planning or managing aspects of an Olympic program for an Olympic Organizing Committee, Olympic partner or on an equivalent event
Willingness to work weekends and long hours; extensive time and travel to Olympic cities
College degree or equivalent experience
