Salary: A minimum starting salary of $65,000 and a comprehensive and competitive fringe benefit package are provided.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business, preferred; Five (5) years of related experience; Knowledge of Banner software strongly preferred; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders; Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Access, and Word.

Description Delaware County Community College is seeking application for a Manager of Grants & Contracts Accounting in our Finance Department.

The Manager of Grants & Contracts Accounting reports to the Associate Vice President of Finance for all functions related to timely and accurate grant and contract accounting including the maintenance, reconciliation, and reporting of all restricted operating grants and contracts and financial aid programs.

Primary responsibilities includes but not limited to serving as primary liaison for the accounting Department with the Development Office and grant administrators for the accounting and financial reporting of local, state and federal grants; serve as primary liaison for the Accounting Department with user departments for the accounting and financial reporting of contracted training and education; Responsible for compliance with the accounting and reporting requirements of local, state and federal grant agencies; responsible for compliance with the accounting and reporting requirements of contracts; Monitor all grant and contract budgets; Review and approve operating and capital transactions of grants and contracts, and related general ledger accounts; Communicate regularly with Payroll and Human Resources on issues affecting grant and contract personnel; Prepare, record, and submit required invoices and/or documentation for local, state and federal grants and contracts with accuracy and within required deadlines; Prepare and submit for review all required monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for local, state and federal grants and contracts with accuracy and within required deadlines; Responsible for year-end closeout of all grants and contracts; Prepare financial reports and schedules as requested by the external auditors for the annual A-133 audit report; Maintain financial records, reports, and other accounting information in conformance with the requirements of local, state and federal grants and contracts and the College’s internal controls; Establish and maintain effective communication with grant and contract administrators to review program progress as it relates to financial issues, and to ensure compliance with specific requirements of local, state and federal grants and contracts; Schedule group meetings with the Vice President for Administration and Associate Vice President of Finance as necessary but at minimum three times per year to review grant and contract financial activity, and to discuss any operating issues; Attend meetings and participate in other activities of the College Administrators group; Other duties as assigned.
