Department Description: Atlantic Records is an Artist Development Music and Entertainment company. The Artist Development Department is outward-facing and primarily focused on the ongoing tour marketing and promotion of the label groups associated artists. In addition to all tour marketing efforts; the department is responsible for ongoing implementation, coordination, and management of all artist activity. The department maintains a focus on the maximization of campaign and budgetary efficiency over the course of artist release and tour cycles.

High Level Job Description:
Responsible for the execution of artist development and tour marketing strategy for assigned pop / rock label roster. These responsibilities may include:

Tour Marketing – Strategy / Coordination / Integration / Reporting

Budgeting – Drafting / Tracking / Resolution

Event & Appearance – Coordination / Coverage

Intradepartmental Communication / Integration [Management, Agent, Promoter]

Interdepartmental Communication / Reporting

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Artist Development and Tour Marketing strategy as assigned for selected roster

Oversee touring and promotional activity, including corresponding travel schedules, for assigned roster

Reporting of all pertinent information to respective internal and external personnel, clients, and partners

Collaboration with artist management to outline and develop budgets for promotional tours and events

Detailed management and execution of assigned roster promotional activity

Develop and maintain key relationships with Artist Managers, Tour Managers, Booking Agents, Promoters, Venue Managers, Talent Buyers, Lifestyle Outlets, and Tour Publicists

Required Competencies/Skills :
Comprehensive understanding of the touring business specifically and the music industry as a whole

Comprehensive understanding and awareness of all tour related vendors, personnel, and best business practices

Familiarity and competence in all facets of promotional campaigning and consumer sales

Strong relationship building skills

Enthusiastic willingness to contribute and share in a team environment

Profound ability to excel within a dynamic schedule

Demonstrated budget and audit competency

Special Requirements/Preferences :
6 years’ experience in touring, live event, or promotional capacity

Budget management and resolution

Extensive Field experience managing tours, artist campaigns, or major promotional events

Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree

4+ years of field experience is strongly preferred

Comprehensive understanding and experience with Microsoft based applications is mandatory
