Position Summary:
The Manager of QC/Records is responsible is to direct the activities of work with the Quality Control Inspectors during the Scheduled Heavy Maintenance Check (A, B, C, and D) at the Contracted Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Facilities to ensure the applicable Code of Federal Regulations and the SAI General Maintenance Manual are adhered to and utilized.

Manage SAI Precision (Calibrated) Tool and Equipment Program.

Manage the development, implementation and acceptability of procedures and processes necessary for the effective administration of the aircraft records department. This position is accountable for ensuring the maintenance and control of aircraft records in a manner that maintains regulatory compliance.

Reports to the Director of Quality Control.

Responsibilities:
  • The Manager QC/ Records has overall responsibility and authority for the following:
  • Ensure the highest quality of work accomplished during aircraft inspection at the Repair Vendors, by using SAI policy and FAA requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure that review of Maintenance Check Packages are accomplished to assure compliance with the work package Tally, and assure correct revision of work cards are issued with each inspection package.
  • Monitor Engine Borescope Inspections as required per Maintenance Planning Department and coordinate those inspections with Powerplant Engineering.
  • Responsible to ensure all completed packages and Logbook pages are audited to ensure proper compliance and references are utilized during the maintenance actions.
  • Monitor the Maintenance actions required to comply with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Engineering Documents, Fleet Campaign Directives, Major Repairs & Alterations, are completed per FAA requirements and company policy.
  • Assist the DQC in over-site of the SAI maintenance programs, including the review of Task Cards to assure procedures are current and reflect systems installed on SAI Aircraft.
  • Recommend improvements to inspection procedures and methods, which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance program and revises check forms as required.
  • Provides scheduling for Inspectors to perform all heavy maintenance check and coordinate with Planning Department.
  • Provides direction and over-site of Quality Assurance Auditors at Contracted Facilities.
  • Assist to monitors Quality Control and Quality Assurance Audit budgets.
  • Directs and coordinates activities related to the acquisition of aircraft calibrated tools/equipment.
  • Training and development of staff
  • Preparing reports as required
  • Advising senior staff of compliance and related matters
  • Performance evaluations for records personnel
  • Establishing key objectives and metrics for the records department
  • Conducting/Assisting in periodic records reviews/audits
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the DQC
Qualifications:
a. Extensive knowledge of current acceptable industry procedures for Maintenance Programs.
b. Extensive knowledge of the FARS’s regarding Airworthiness Directives and regulations.
c. Previous aircraft records experience is a must.
d. Have the ability to problem solve
e. Capable of designing, developing, implementing, revising and maintaining records system
f. High degree of expertise in Adobe: Acrobat professional, and scanning systems.
g. Competent with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Software programs including, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
h. Must be able to operate scanning equipment and associated software applications
i. Familiar with revision and control of data
j. Previous experience of supervising and providing mentoring to support personnel
k. Must have High School Diploma.
l. 4 years college training in related aerospace engineering field, or technical equivalency training within the airline environment, Degree preferred.
m. 10 years minimum experience related to aircraft maintenance environment
n. Must have FAA A&P license.
o. Strong planning, organizational, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills
