Description

The Enterprise Network Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the Enterprise Network Services Group within the Communications department. This group is responsible for all aspects of Enterprise Network converged services within the company. The Enterprise Network Services Manager is responsible for planning to ensure network capacity and services meets current and future business requirements. Activities in support of this initiative will include planning for local and remote communications facilities along with the development and implementation of methodologies for system analysis, installation, and support. The manager is responsible to define and develop a methodology to ensure compatibility of all software and hardware products. The manager is to provide ongoing coordination in the analysis, acquisition, and installation of hardware and software. College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education is required. Certification in Microsoft or Novell networks is required. Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate. Certification in Cisco Internetworking is required. Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate. Ability to understand, recommend, design, and implement mainframe and LAN/MAN/WAN functionality such as cabling systems, hubs, switches, bridges, routers, gateways, terminal servers and communication servers. In depth understanding of LAN/MAN/WAN protocols and protocol interaction. 10-12 years of experience in a distributed network environment is required. In depth understanding of merging technologies such as voice, data, imaging and video. Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and enthusiastic can do attitude. Ability to work independently is a must. Ability to quickly learn systems with little or no documentation. Continuous learning of new systems, business processes and concepts are a must. Must have the ability to work well with people of varying levels of technical abilities. Must have full understanding of project management methodologies and concepts. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. The ability to articulate and express complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing is critical for this position.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience supervising or managing an IT or healthcare applications team required.
  • 10-12 years of experience in a distributed network environment is required.
  • Certification in Microsoft networks is required. Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
