The Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering support to a high-pace medical device manufacturing facility. The position requires a highly motivated, positive individual that can work both independently and in a team environment. This individual must be dedicated to the success of the company and its quest to continually improve its operations, as well as perform duties to manufacture company's products, meeting FDA, OSHA, GMP/MDD and ISO compliance requirements.
Qualifications: 1-3 years experience in medical device environment, includes any time during school/internships/etc Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred Ability to use sound engineering judgment and analytical skills to conduct root cause analysis to engineering problems and guide others in the process Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge to design new equipment and fixturing and troubleshoot issues with existing equipment Knowledge of manufacturing principles such as Lean, 6-Sigma, and Just-in-Time Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas to all levels of the organization Ability to plan and manage projects from initiation to closure Ability to find and evaluate new processes, equipment, and suppliers Ability to work in office, lab, and production floor environmentsResponsibilities: Perform Manufacturing Engineering assignments under only general direction meeting expected due dates and output Responsible for planning, organizing and managing engineering projects Determine, document, and train on manufacturing best practices Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing quality issues and implement corrective actions Validate processes and equipment for FDA compliance Ensure manufacturing equipment and methods are safe and efficient for operators use Reduce cost and lead time by standardizing and streamlining production processes through quality improvements, fixturing, and automation Ability to train to procedures and ensure continuous improvement Perform additional duties as assigned or apparent
