As a member of the Market Development team the Market Account Rep is a resource for the category vendor reseller and Sales. The Market Account Rep must be aware of all vendor product lines and/or category programs and engaged with all pertinent teams to grow profitable sales and marketing share of the category or vendor which he/she represents. The Market Account Rep functions as a team lead to develop and implement specific categories and strategic sales proposals to accomplish goals and assist leadership with team and department initiatives.
Education: AA degree/two years college coursework or 2 years of related external experience or 1 year of IM related experience.
Experience: Three years sales experience. 4 years prior Ingram Micro experience preferred. Experience with a specific category (i.e. components) required.
Knowledge of: professional effective telephone techniques and customer care. Complex understanding of profitability components. General knowledge of industry trends strategic ways of keeping up-to-date with market conditions and ability to perform market research analysis. Complex technical and product knowledge of a specific category (i.e. components). Complex understanding of Ingram Micro programs and services. Skills in: personal computing or keyboarding. Complex proficiency in systems (i.e Impulse IMtellitrack preferred). Strong verbal and written communications skills required with excellent interpersonal and leadership skill set. Strong organizational and time management skills. Manages issues effectively. Resourceful. Works well independently and in a team setting. Ability to: multi-task respond to rapid change; organize prioritize and perform work with detailed supervision. Able to travel nationally and internationally approximately 20%
