IZ-ON Media is the digital place-based media division of Technicolor. We provide in-store television inside many of America's favorite retail stores like Costco, Walmart, Sam's Club and Albertsons. We have more than 100,000 televisions located in 10,000+ locations with millions of viewers every single day. Our Market Research team conducts studies that measure the effectiveness of our programming and advertising, and is widely known and respected in the digital place-based media community.

The Research Analyst will assist in organizing and analyzing studies and helping to prepare and distribute data to internal customers, including our advertising sales, business development, and product marketing teams. This person will work closely with our Senior Manager, Market Research in day-to-day management of research studies.

We're looking for a junior level individual with 1 – 3 years marketing research experience, with either supplier or client-side experience. Advertising effectiveness measurement research (e.g. branding studies) is preferred.

Job Functions:
  • Design and develop questionnaires and review vendor questionnaires to ensure study objectives are captured
  • Create data tabulation plans, and review vendor tab plans
  • Check data tables and raw SPSS data files
  • Develop and manage project plans, completing projects on time and within budget
  • Efficiently create PowerPoint report decks and draft analyses
  • Partner in creating a persuasive selling story and actionable management recommendations
  • Help proof reports and any external client facing material
  • Synthesize, manage, and disseminate research intelligence and information internally on the shared network (SharePoint) and other communication channels to various internal and external audiences
  • Maintain/update projects on shared network (SharePoint)
  • Assist on internal research requests
  • Perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required

Education and Experience:
  • 1 – 3 years consumer primary marketing research experience, with experience or exposure to media or advertising effectiveness research preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in market research, psychology, mathematics, statistics, economics or other field that required significant coursework in math or statistics
  • Graduate degree in Market Research/Measurement/MBA a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of quantitative research techniques; experience with test and control, pre-post study design preferred, and exposure to qualitative research a plus
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage studies without close supervision
  • Good time management and shows initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience or ability to manage vendors
  • Good writing skills – ability to interpret data and write findings in a clear, concise, business-focused way
  • Demonstrated desire to advance skills in marketing research, analytics, and report/presentation writing – motivated to learn and grow
  • SPSS experience a plus
  • Strong team player, able to effectively work with cross functional teams, and willing to support and take the lead on projects as necessary
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude in the midst of competing requests and high pressure situations
  • A good listener and willing to work with given instructions when needed on key projects
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Competent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
