This position will report to the Director of the Huntsville Field Marketing Office, primarily responsible for leading Boeings marketing and business development activities in the areas of Army rotor-craft to include Domestic and International Attack, Cargo, Reconnaissance, and Heavy Lift sales.

This position will be responsible for analysis and customer engagement to keep existing weapons systems sold; identify and develop opportunities for new business with U.S Government customers; shape new markets and affect customer thinking and actions regarding our products and campaigns in support of the Army customer and international campaigns as required.

This position will support Defense, Space & Security (BDS) as a whole, with emphasis on Aviation Networked Battle Command, Aerial Reconnaissance, Persistent Surveillance, Future Vertical Lift, Attack/Lift/Unmanned Systems and Rotorcraft Logistics/Acquisition/Technology. This individual will ensure consistent and integrated BDS messages are presented to Army Aviation customers located at Huntsville, Alabama. In coordination with the BDS units, this person will assist in coordinating and tailoring winning solutions to support customer missions in the US Armys Aviation market as well as foreign military sales. This includes developing, sustaining and supporting superior relations with the Program Executive Office- Aviation and associated Program and Product Managers, US Army Security Assistance Command, the Redstone Test Center, the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, and the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center as well as local civic, business and defense industry communities in the Huntsville area as required.

The individual will develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of customer requirement, acquisition, and resourcing processes to gain competitive advantage, to position Boeing solutions, and to influence opportunity captures. This person should be able to provide unbiased recommendations and/or assessments to BDS leadership regarding all aspects of customer/market knowledge to support development of capabilities/solutions and offerings to meet customer needs and/or opportunities. The individual will establish and maintain a team-based culture between BDS Business Development and the business units; facilitate close coordination and proper communication among Boeing business units, other Field Offices, and supporting organizations/individuals to ensure a unified, cohesive single BDS voice to the customer; actively participate in local area industry groups and professional associations, and local civic/community organizations as required to enhance Boeings image as a good corporate neighbor and community partner.

This is a high visibility role and critical skills include: superior written and verbal communications skills, the ability to professionally and skillfully communicate and interact with senior U.S. Government customers and Boeing executives, brief large and diverse audiences, and serve as the Boeing representative in community partnership with military, civilian and community organizations and state/local political officials. Experience in developing marketing plans and participation in pursuit/capture teams and proposal review teams to support new business development, familiarity with Boeing products, business units, and the military customer is a plus.
