SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) is an employee-owned company of environmental professionals who specialize in natural and cultural resource management, environmental planning, and regulatory compliance.
We are seeking a self-motivated, creative, and highly organized person to fill the position of Marketing Coordinator. This position is located in SWCA’s Houston, Texas, office and will report to the Houston Managing Principal.
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with office staff and will support marketing and business development activities. The general responsibilities will be maintaining internal databases of marketing information, tracking business development efforts and researching opportunities, and coordinating efforts with other SWCA offices, subcontractors and teaming partners, and corporate marketing staff.
The Marketing Coordinator will also lead and/or assist in the planning, creation, and production of proposals, government forms, and statements of qualifications in response to public and private sector requests.
This is a full-time, hourly position that may require periodic overtime, including working evenings and/or weekends as necessary to meet submission deadlines.
Develop, organize, update, and format marketing collateral (resumes, project sheets, project lists, etc.)
Manage project, resume, graphics, client contact, and consultant databases
Maintain marketing files and collateral inventory
Conduct market research
Organize association involvement to ensure coverage
Ensure that office marketing materials are consistent with firm-wide branding efforts
Assess and understand solicitations and their requirements, including clarifying with the solicitor sometimes vague language and directions
Coordinate with consultant firms for teaming and gathering marketing materials
Ensure information is communicated clearly, accurately and in a visually appealing manner and in alignment with the firm’s overall brand and messaging guideline
Monitor various RFP/RFQ list-serves, newspapers, and websites
Work with technical staff and senior management to prepare responses to RFPs/RFQs and to assemble high-quality custom packages; and
Edit materials for spelling, grammar, clarity/coherence, firm style, and quality of content.
Job Qualifications :
A minimum of a High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) required; a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related discipline preferred
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a marketing and/or business development support role required
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite desired
Strong proofreading, writing, and formatting skills required
Experience writing and/or managing proposals preferred
Experience working in environmental consulting or architecture/engineering preferred
Experience working in Deltek Vision or comparable management information system desired
Good eye for layout, sense of design, and company branding preferred
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal communication skills to guide processes and teams and work with colleagues with diverse interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and in off-site locations
Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Flexibility with changing work priorities, meeting strict deadlines on fast-paced schedules, and prioritizing to support multiple proposals and deadlines
