Our client is a manufacturer of consumer hard goods products.

Founded in over 35 years ago, this company has become widely know as a designer and manufacturer and distributor of innovative, high quality consumer products. This organization currently operates several countries and has earned industry-wide recognition for its R&D capabilities.

This dynamic opportunity will allow a Marketing Director to develop, drive and direct marking efforts for this company’s high-quality and innovative educational products that enrich childhood development, from birth to pre-teen, through fun and smart play.

Under the direction of Hong Kong Headquarters and Senior Leadership Team, the Marketing Director will:

Develop and drive overall brand strategy and brand positioning across marketing and marketing communication in support of all business objectives.

Define, articulate, and execute a fully integrated marketing program for companies brand including; advertising, branding, packaging, promotions, PR, retail programs, digital marketing, merchandising, and media initiatives.

Manage successful relationships, with internal departments and external partners (colleagues overseas, media, agencies, etc).

Collaborate on budget/prioritization of the marketing spending.

Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations at trade shows and industry events.

Create a high performance marketing organization by developing and mentoring a cross functional team of Graphics, Consumer Services and Marketing Research functions.

Oversee compilation and analysis of market research information regarding consumers, products, competitors and market trends. Ensures that market research program meets present and future business needs.

Oversee packaging initiatives and ongoing Graphics activities to ensure that product packaging designs meet brand recognition needs.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in consumer products industry working with mass retailers (ei. Wal-Mart, Target, etc.).

Bachelors degree in Marketing; MBA strongly preferred.

Well developed verbal, written, management and facilitation skills.

Prior experience working in a US subsidiary with Asian Headquarters is



Collaborative, versatile, candid communicator, good listener with sensitivity to multiple styles and perspectives, who is able to build and foster strong relationships with diverse constituencies.

Creative and innovative in seeing new opportunities and open to constructive feedback from the Senior Leadership Team and Asian Partners.

Hands on leader with a proven ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast paced,high demand, performance driven environment.

International and domestic travel will be required (3+ international trips per year).

Previous agency advertising, promotions, communications, public relations, digital marketing and marketing research a plus.

Candidates can come from house wares, office products, office electronics, toys electronics and home durables.

There is a re-location package.
