As a Marketing Intern for our Enterprise Solutions, you will implement email marketing and weather-triggered marketing programs to major account prospects within the Enterprise Solutions business unit. This position is available from May to August, depending on the school schedule of the person selected. This is a paid internship for up to 34 hours per week.
Develops required familiarity with products and tools to be effective in internship.
Improves and cleanses our existing mail and email lists and generates new ones as needed. This includes researching lists by searching the Internet and a variety of other sources to find and maintain lists for optimal response rate and accuracy.
Monitors weather conditions and prepares marketing outreach for weather triggered marketing opportunities.
Prepares email mailings using appropriate software, in compliance with appropriate templates and anti-SPAM rules.
Ensures copies of all emailing materials are kept on file.
Maintains records of response to emailings. Assists in maintaining lead tracking and lead databases and creating appropriate reports.
Researches publications and websites in selected industries to identify opportunities for articles and speaking engagements.
Uses CRM tools and industry sources to measure market penetration in various market segments and to identify prospects.
Assists in preparing product/service PowerPoints for product launches.
High school diploma
Coursework in marketing at the college or business school level
The completion of at least one year of marketing coursework is preferred
Strong knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel, Microsoft Word
Good communication skills, highly organized and excellent proofreading skills
Strong familiarity with web searching
Ability to learn new web database interfaces
