The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with the Photovoltaic Division’s day-to-day marketing activities. The successful candidate will be exposed to diverse product marketing initiatives, develop skills in implementing marketing activities, make industry contacts, and receive active support from senior managers.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Assisting with planning and execution of the Photovoltaic Division’s participation in national, regional, and local tradeshows and other events
Coordinating with vendors and team to produce and distribute marketing materials.
Representing the Division at events, and helping co-ordinate the participation of solar team.
Developing and updating multi-media presentations for trade shows, seminars, and public meetings.
Assisting with administration of the co-op marketing program with our customer network.
Assisting with maintenance of the PV Division’s website.
Assisting with management of the customer database and project photo database
Analyzing marketing data to identify trends
The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs other job functions as assigned.
Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program at an accredited university.
Education or experience in renewable energy and/or marketing and communications is a plus.
A deep desire to work in the renewable energy business.
Experience with organizing events, including past participation in tradeshows.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, a strong command of the English language, and the ability to deliver presentations effectively.
A high level of attention to detail.
Project management, organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills.
A strong commitment to working as a team.
A willingness to learn and assist with multiple functions of a dynamic business.
Enthusiasm for taking initiative to shape his/her own experiences
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and web-based research
A willingness to travel as needed.
