We’re seeking a chief marketeer who is looking to get in on the ground floor of a fast moving start-up.
As the Director of Marketing (and our first marketing hire), you’ll lead our integrated marketing efforts, including content development, social media and digital marketing, and PR. The ideal candidate must be strongly customer focused and passionate about creating compelling and engaging content. You will be the content-marketing expert for the company. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is driven, ready to roll-up their sleeves and engage in all aspects of marketing. We’re looking for somebody who is excited about our product and works well with our team.
Work with subject-matter experts inside and outside the company to create content for blogs, magazines, and other outlets
Manage social media engagement via Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Own and maintain the corporate website
Translate ideas and concepts into effective strategies and compelling content
Manage and coordinate all marketing activities, including web, social, press releases, newsletters, meetups, creative presentations, videos, developer evangelism, sales collateral and industry events/tradeshows
Create and execute highly impactful marketing campaigns related to lead generation, qualification, and nurturing
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience developing marketing programs for start-up companies
Strong project management skills, excel at managing multiple projects and priorities while remaining focused on quality and deadlines
Highly creative self-starter, Web 2.0 savvy
Experience working with and managing vendors to develop creative assets, e.g.videos for corporate overview, customer testimonials
Experience engaging press, analysts, and influencers
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated passion and knowledge of content marketing and social marketing
Experience using inbound marketing tools like HubSpot
Ideal candidate will have prior marketing experience within an enterprise SaaS infrastructure company; exposure to Apache Hadoop a plus
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
