JOB TITLE: Foodservice Marketing Manager
REPORTS TO: Vice President Foodservice
JOB PURPOSE : This position is responsible for marketing management of all products within the Foodservice Division. Responsibilities include: strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L responsibilities, market data analysis, new product development, project management, operator promotions, advertising, agency management, pricing, brand positioning, CRM, market research, new concept development, and trade spending management. The successful execution of these responsibilities will result in long-term sales growth and profitability within the Foodservice Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND INFLUENCE :
Develops, plans and implements annual strategic marketing plan. Interprets and analyzes market data to develop and implement short and long-term strategies.
Partners on the development of the FS Division’s annual strategic plans
Develops and manages the FS marketing budget.
Monitors and influences FS division forecast.
Leads project teams and works closely with other departments such as Research & Development, Operations, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Supervises members of the Food Service team
Leads the new product development cross-functional team
Manages new product evaluation model, new product testing programs, and new product launch activities
Manages all operator based market research activities and develops annual research plans and budgets.
Manages promotional opportunities including planning, development and management of FS promotions and agencies.
Utilizes and creates internal analytical models/tools that will assist marketing and sales divisions in the management of FS business:
Trade promotional spending analysis
Competitive SWOT analysis
Uncovering business opportunities
New item opportunities
Leads the development of FS point of sale materials and web-site
Reviews/develops effective broker training programs and on-going support
Performs other duties as assigned.
Works with culinary and sales team to develop customer presentations

Leadership and supervisory experience of exempt and non-exempt personnel
Ability to develop working relationships with CM internal employees and external vendors including outside sales force, food broker network, foodservice operators, marketing/advertising agencies, packaging designers, research vendors, etc.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint (MS access a plus).

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
5 years of Foodservice marketing
Food Experience preferred
