The Marketing Associate is responsible for leading the writing process and preparation of custom Business Development/Marketing presentations and proposals for the New York/NE offices of Cushman & Wakefield.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Performs the lead writing role in Business Development deliverables, drafting original content and identifying appropriate text, concepts and salient points that add value
  • Responsible for the completion of standard and complex Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and client presentations (PowerPoint and digital platforms)
  • Controls deliverables from inception to project delivery
  • Communicates successfully with internal clients during the life cycle of an assignment so that he/she understands the project timeline and requirements
  • Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the real estate business that adds value that strategically enhances Marketing deliverables
  • Accurately researches potential clients and works with Research professionals to capture appropriate supporting data
  • Handles internal departmental reporting functions
  • Participates as a strong team member of U.S. Marketing, actively contributing to U.S. Marketing initiatives
  • Collaborates with Regional/National Graphic Design and Communications teams to drive an integrated approach (design and communications) in business development deliverables

Required Skill Sets
  • Only candidates with prior commercial real estate experience will be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with at least 5 years of business writing experience, particularly proposal writing/presentation creation or other similar corporate marketing/communications experience
  • Ability to write proposal text from scratch and to modify standard text to meet the specific requirements of each new assignment
  • Ability to identify critical messages and unique selling points, and clearly communicate them
  • Should be a self starter and possess a strong ability to lead the writing process and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Detail oriented with pride in the quality of personal and team work
  • Ability to effectively execute assignments, meeting stringent deadlines
  • Ability to contribute strategic concepts for business and project initiatives and successfully execute those concepts
  • Software packages: Microsoft Office Suite –highly proficient, particularly in context of advanced formatting of business documents
