The primary function of the Marketing Manager, Wholesale & Licensing is to drive the marketing strategy across our domestic wholesale and global licensing partners. Current licensed categories include Eyewear and Fragrance & Beauty, but additional categories may be added. He/ She will be the main marketing point of contact for our internal partners (sales and licensing teams, direct-to consumer teams) and external partners (wholesale accounts and licensing partners), developing strong relationships in order to execute long-term and seasonal marketing initiatives that are on brand, on-strategy and on-budget, building on the success of the Tory Burch brand and expanding our global presence through strategic partnerships.
Responsible for the planning, execution, approval process and reporting of all marketing initiatives in our domestic wholesale accounts, including but not limited to:
Co-Op Advertising – approvals & tracking
Digital Marketing – planning & approval of emails, site features, online lookbooks, social media, branded content, online advertising
Special Initiatives, launches and/or collaborations.
Provide project cost estimates and follow up of approval
Drive the marketing strategy across our global licensing partners, providing them with the following marketing support:
In collaboration with each partner, clearly define annual goals and priorities.
Build out a master marketing calendar of all key initiatives, production schedules and deadlines to share with all internal and external partners.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure that all major marketing initiatives are leveraged through a 360° strategy.
Develop and maintain a library of all potential collateral required by licensing partners, including: layouts for emails, web features, institutional fixtures, POS materials, packaging requirements, etc.
Maintain the history/archives of all projects and collateral.
Brief the Creative Services team on all layout updates and special collateral needs. Coordinate, gain approvals of and distribute all seasonal assets according to the required formats, and on schedule.
Serve as the key marketing point-person for all wholesale and licensing partners
Coordinate and execute quarterly hindsight / kick-off meetings with each partner to clearly define goals and priorities
Develop a regular (bi-weekly, monthly?) conference call cadence with each partner, ensuring that goals and priorities are being followed.
Develop a regular (weekly?) meeting cadence with internal sales and licensing teams to keep abreast of key business developments and update them on the execution of key marketing initiatives.
Maintain marketing sample orders and library.
Work with Tory Burch cross-functional teams (including but not limited to: Creative Services, Marketing, Events, PR, Social Media, E-Commerce, Buying, Sales and Merchandising) to ensure 360° strategic planning.
Report out results of all marketing initiatives on a quarterly basis.
Act as brand steward both internally and externally.
BA/BS or equivalent
3-5 years experience
Record of noted professional achievement within a high-growth marketing or retail organization.
Experience working within the wholesale channel is required. Licensing experience is a strong plus.
International experience a plus
