Responsible for the promotion and development of our go to market strategy and tactics for each specific market segment and the development of sales and marketing tools that will allow us to implement those strategies. This position heavily interacts and engages with our customer base, the product development team, sales representatives and sales management.
Key Tasks & Responsibility
Provide internal & external customers with expert counsel in all marketing functions and company core competencies relative to the customer. This includes program planning and creative development of sales collateral, web/electronic activities, public relations, advertising, events/shows, technical communications, etc. Ensure department employs best practices to ensure business retains leadership position with customers.
Identify marketing gaps by looking for advancements in technology and market trends. Achieves this by participating and attending industry trade shows, reading appropriate trade publications, conducting field visits and competitive reviews, and cultivating relationships with customers and vendors.
Plan and develop target market specific tactics. Achieve this through competitive surveillance and analysis, appropriate customer segmentation, sales and promotional channel identification and identifying growth opportunities.
Promote branded products and services. Achieve this by jointly sales calls with customers, developing market-oriented collateral and campaigns, managing seminars and trade tradeshows for target market customers.
Plan and develop market metrics. Achieve this by participating in annual revenue and expense planning as well as selected business case development.
