This position will act as the aftermarket truck parts (ATP) portfolio manager within Global On-Highway.
The position will collaborate with truck parts industry suppliers and Cat dealers to grow Caterpillar truck parts sales.
The primary responsibilities of the position are:
On-board new truck parts suppliers to Caterpillar, working with Global Purchasing
Identify opportunities to grow the supply base of ATP suppliers for strategic product offerings through Caterpillar
Managing current supply base and ensure Caterpillar portfolio has the critical parts in the system for truck customers, if not, adding those parts.
Manage pricing functions such as:
special price requests and bi-annual or greater price changes from suppliers
Identify opportunities to engage Cat dealers with suppliers for training
Manage product marketing through customer marketing materials, dealer marketing programs, and field rep support.
The incumbent will have responsibility for about 8-10 strategic suppliers in the truck industry.
The incumbent prepares information releases on new and improved products and competitive products, containing pertinent technical data, feature analysis, attachment descriptions and recommendations on product sales philosophies.
- Minimum of bachelor's level degree
- Previous experience in the On-Highway Industry
- Knowledge of truck industry required
- Good interpersonal skills
