Perform masonry duties, including concrete finishing, block laying, plastering, and building restoration. Work independently on job site to perform complex masonry work. Assist Crew Chief with coordinating on-site activities with other crafts. Train / Assist other employees as needed. Oversee work of employees assigned to job site. Overtime will be necessary.
High School Diploma or GED.
Four years of masonry experience in one of the following masonry areas required and experience in two additional mentioned areas necessary: concrete finishing, plastering, block-laying or building restoration.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction and/or repair of buildings or other structures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
Possess basic math skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 80 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts at heights up to 100 feet.
Respiratory protection may be required during specific work operations.
The use of a respirator may require medical testing.
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge of campus buildings and locations.
Hours for this position are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Monday - Friday.
Overtime necessary on an as needed basis.
A background check will be required for employment in this position.
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)
