Operates all master control, transmission and production equipment in regional master control hub.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Monitors, maintains and controls the outgoing signal and computer automation that drives the air servers.
-Switches live and delayed programming for playback.
-Counts in and out of live events with remote productions.
-Operates and trouble shoots server when program and play out conflicts arise.
-Maintain transmission equipment including satellite and microwave antennas and related equipment.
-Assure all equipment and systems are ready for live and/or recorded telecasts.
-Monitor and adjust equipment for on-air and recorded signal quality and specifications.
-Ensure connectivity between production sites and receive sites.
-Schedule transmission equipment including satellite reservations.
-Recommend equipment and procedures that will deliver the best possible production quality for all programming originated by the division.
-Provide technical support and advice to Production and Sports personnel as necessary.
-Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelors degree preferred.
-One or two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
-Specialized knowledge of television production and operational knowledge of all types of audio and video equipment networking and proprietary and specialized television production hardware and software is required.
-Must be experienced and competent in the use, maintenance, and repair of various studio and remote broadcasting equipment.
-Knowledge and experience with encoding & uploading content into digital systems.
-Knowledge and experience with Sundance Fast Break NXT or similar control room systems, master control and routing switchers.
-Experience with Chyron Duet graphics systems.
-Ability to read, interpret, and calibrate VU meters, waveform monitors and vector scopes.
-Ability to quality control check and monitor encoded content including program elements and commercials.
-Ability to monitor control room system health including incoming and outgoing signals.
-Ability to write and communicate daily error and discrepancy reports.
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems under extreme deadlines.
-Must be able to lift and carry up to 70lbs.
-Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
