Packages and labels all outgoing and incoming material in a manner to ensure undamaged delivery to the proper recipient. Receives, inspects, unpacks and verifies all incoming material against packing list and PO. Drives company van to make deliveries. Completes all required computerized purchase order transactions.

KNOWLEDGE: Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

SUPERVISION: Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.

EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Packages and labels all out going material in such a manner as to ensure undamaged delivery to the proper recipient.

Selects proper carrier and service to ensure economic and timely delivery that meets shipment requirements.
·
Completes all required forms such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, shipper’s export declarations, commercial invoices and COD documentation etc.
·
When necessary performs all required Visibility transactions and attaches all required packing slips.
·
Receives and inspects all incoming material for damage.
·
Unpacks and verifies contents against packing slip.
·
Completes all receiving transactions on Visibility, generates proper receiving documents and notifies purchasing personnel of any discrepancies between goods received, packing lists and purchase orders.
·
Responsible for the proper routing and delivery of material to the correct people and/or buildings.
·
At times works with the Purchasing and Finance Departments to resolve any discrepancies.
·
Maintains a neat, safe work environment.
·
Review material positions at all mfg. Kan/Ban replenishment points
·
Deliver material required on a daily basis based on Kan/Ban locations
·
Move FG from work cell to FG stock locations
·
Deliver material between buildings as required
·
Perform transactions to guarantee accuracy
·
Perform cycle counts
·
Perform miscellaneous other materials activities
·
Support ECO changes and cut-in strategies for changes

REQUIRED:
· High school education or equivalent 1-2 years of related experience.

Computer experience
·
Ability to interface with various departments, handle multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
DESIRED:
  • Shipping and receiving experience in manufacturing environment
