Supervision: Responsible for induction of all newcomers in designated area including temporary associates. Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions. Analyze flexibility and multi-skill needs of the logistics area, and define training plans in order to develop team autonomy and improvement of spirit.
Monitor certification processes for each material handler and update in real time the flexibility grid.
Manage daily absenteeism, holidays, enforcement of safety rules, environmental risk analysis, area communications & performance board updates.
Ensure adherence to standards (starts, stops, breaks, meetings) by checking systematically in gemba, and validate associates timesheets.
Ensure standards of reaction are applied with rigor and escalate according to standards.
Responsible for personnel involvement to ensure a positive social climate. Conduct annual appraisals, pay grade reviews, and career interviews.
Standards Maintenance: Perform daily OJT with team of standards implemented.
Enforce health, safety, environmental & site rules for designated area.
Ensure existence of updated work instructions for all material handling tasks and adherence to all working standards - propose/implement improvements.
Refine work standards with the help of support functions and team members.
Ensure systematic inspection, regular cleaning of equipment by team and completion of 1st levels of preventive maintenance and maintenance line QRQCs.
Control regularly gemba performance and reactions.
Make regularly time-measurements seeking MUDA as per KOSU implementation guide.
Ensure that all displays of designated area are updated at end of shift, and that associates have necessary material to do so.
Adhere to internal & external visual re-order customer/supplier rules.
Complete annual training on shipment of hazardous materials.
Ensure standards are properly deployed and used to detect abnormalities.
Production Management: Propose weekly the headcounts & organizational requirements of desig
nated area according to MPS.
Ensure respect of SQCDM & VRO inventory targets.
In case a detected problem cannot be solved by the team members, assign and check containment and corrective actions with support functions and/or management.
Communicate with Supply Chain team members on MPS daily priorities.
Respect MPS contract.
Seek involvement of support functions when necessary to quickly solve issues identified.
Monitor shift QCDM and ensure QCDM boards are updated.
Complete reporting as defined by N-1 management.
Continuous Improvement Management: Lead action plans to improve SQCDM performance in conjunction with APU & Plant including productivity plans.
Reach and maintain a dynamic and efficient Proposal of Improvements system.
Participate in safety and environmental risk reductions.
Contribute to new equipment and processes start ups.
Lead zoning evolution and improvements.
Participate in APU QRQC: Quality, DL efficiency, Maintenance.
Pilot PDCA / FTA & Maintenance 5 WHYs on topics assigned by APU Manager.
Prepare LLC & Kaizen Cards.
Lead VPS workshops and communicate with Site VPS Manager for training of methodologies.
Interact with support functions to facilitate improvement actions within the production areas.
Participate in budget preparation and manage the budget of designated area.
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing or process engineering.
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills and a high degree of flexibility. Strong computer skills required.
