DESCRIPTION

Immediate opportunity for an engine and bumper-to-bumper technician in our Flagstaff, Arizona location. Candidates with experience on Detroit Diesel engines, MTU engines and bumper-to-bumper repairs on highway trucks preferred. Technician will repair, overhaul and maintain diesel engines and related equipment used in the operation of trucks, generators, buses and other equipment. Candidate must have own tools and reliable transportation.

DUTIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following - other duties may be assigned. Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using sophisticated electronic diagnostic tools. Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis. Determines parts requirements to complete repair. Performs authorized repairs as assigned. Maintains own tool inventory adequate to perform assigned repairs. Develops accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and/or customer invoices. Follows all safety and EPA regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty as listed in the job description satisfactorily. MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
