1.0 SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Bosque Systems, LLC is a growing provider of cost-effective,
custom water treatment systems for natural gas and oil well operators in need
of flowback and produced water management solutions. Bosque’s proven technology
and service capability has provided its customers successful implementations of
turnkey water disposal, treatment and reuse systems across multiple shale
plays, allowing producers to dispose of or reuse the hydraulic fracing fluid
used to safely recover natural gas and oil from deep shale formations. We are
expanding and we are looking for a strong Mechanical Technician to add to our

2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all types of repair work and preventive maintenance on
Positive Displacement (PD) pumps, diesel motors and mechanical seals &
parts associated with these items. Will troubleshoot and repair items
associated with oil field operations such as frac tanks, valves, hoses and
Examines, analyzes & troubleshoots equipment for defects in operation.
Strives for optimum performance & reliability of equipment.
Dismantles or partially dismantles equipment. Performs clean up associated with these tasks.
Uses hand tools, power tools, & electronic diagnostic equipment.
Reads & understands equipment and repair manuals.
May be required to schedule contractors, coordinate system shutdowns, perform lockout/tagout, starting/stopping of
equipment, & perform equipment checks & PSM work.
3.0 SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Mechanics will be responsible to ensure that the location equipment functions properly and will use various strategies to diagnose the source and the extent of problems.
Mechanics determine mechanical and electrical problems and make necessary repairs or make arrangements for vendor repairs.
One deep position. Must be able to prioritize work, maintain paperwork and take direction from Maintenance Control Manager located in a different geographical area.
Knowledge of safety rules & practices.
Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions in English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Mechanical aptitude & basic computer skills including spreadsheet & word processing applications.
Must be able to assume responsibility & perform duties & handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
Ability to make decisions & corrections when problems are detected.
4.0 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of PD pumps and associated equipment.
Specific mechanical training preferred. Knowledge of diesel engines, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of oil field grade valves, plumbing and equipment a plus.
5.0 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to work overtime & handle call-outs.
Will be subject to DOT drug & alcohol testing requirements.
Prefer at least 1 year experience performing routine maintenance on oil field equipment.
High School degree or GED required
Technical training preferred
Must have valid drivers license and the MVR should be acceptable under our current policy
6.0 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – WORKING CONDITIONS
Works mostly outdoors, on location, in & around mechanical, industrial & electrical equipment.
Required to climb about equipment & work in confined areas.
Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions & operating equipment.
Wears safety equipment as required. Uses physical force to lift, push, pull & hold equipment & tools.
Climbs & works at various heights & may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouching alarms & instructions, & is required to visually inspect work.
May work in confined spaces (i.e.tanks, between vessels).
Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 foot pounds of torque.
Must have the ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly & ride over rough roads.
