The candidate will be responsible for key mechanical engineering tasks, from requirement specification, top level mechanical analysis, conceptual and detail design, prototype integration, testing and handoff to manufacturing. The detail design activities include system-level layout, opto-mechanical design, precision mechanism design and alignment tooling design, using Pro/E as the design tool.
The candidate must participate in the design process in cross-discipline teams including System Engineers, Optics Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering and other groups within K-T worldwide organization. He/she needs to exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and Perform analysis as needed to verify new designs. The candidate is also expected to champion his/her designs throughout the release process and generate all required engineering documentation until they are fully released to manufacturing.
Require BSME or MSME (preferred) with at least 8+ years of concentration in mechanical design and engineering.
Must have experience in opto-mechanical design, and/or precision mechanism design.
Must have good understand in physics and mechanics. The candidate must be able to generate system-level concept with all-around consideration and perform high-level mechanical design, testing and troubleshooting.
Familiar with mechanical manufacturing processes including machining, sheetmetal fabrication, welding and castings.
Good communication and team working skills are required.
Experience in structure/vibration analysis, thermal analysis is desirable.
