Parsons has several large scale design-build governmental programs underway which require review of third party A/E firms' design and engineering deliverables; self performance of engineering studies, analysis, planning and design; commissioning services; and construction management oversight on mission critical facilities. The majority of these programs have openings for talented engineers who are clearable or already hold a security clearance.
Parsons is seeking a mechanical engineer to complete mechanical system design related tasks on mission critical facilities such as data centers or homeland security related infrastructure. The successful candidate will have experience in designing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in an environment geared for industrial ventilation, airborne contamination control or exhaust filtration systems. You will help ensure consistency with applicable codes and customer quality requirements. In addition, you will provide cooling and heating load calculations, air and water distribution system pressure drop calculations, plumbing calculations and HVAC equipment selection. This position also may entail reviewing vendor and subcontractor submittals and supporting field construction activities by resolving design modification issues. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.
