The successful applicant will join a highly technical and diverse organization that applies thermal-hydraulic, structural design/analysis, and manufacturing expertise to solve steam generator design and performance issues. This position will be to perform complicated thermal/hydraulic analyses to support a new design and existing components. This will include implementing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques to complex geometries, with the potential for multi-phase modelling. Additionally, this position will require learning locally developed steam generator analysis codes. A strong understanding of the fundamental physics governing fluid dynamics and the ability to develop CFD models is required.

The candidate will interact with vendors and other design, analysis, fleet, and project organizations in a dynamic team environment.

Required Skills
Senior:
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience (advanced degree may apply in offsetting years of experience)
  • Experience using CFD software to solve fluid flow problems in complex geometries
Principal:
  • BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of nine years of relevant experience (advanced degree may apply in offsetting years of experience)
  • Experience using CFD software to solve fluid flow problems in complex geometries

Preferred Skills
Senior:
  • Expertise with commercial CFD codes (CFX, Star-CD, etc.)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Experience in fluid system analysis/design
  • Experience with software development
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD)
Principal:
