The On Air Graphics Media Manager is the central figure enabling and maintaining departmental workflow and media resource management. The Media Manager will work with all departmental staff both Project Managers and Creatives to create a digital asset management system and associated workflow which ensures job files are properly named, located and archived.
Develop industry-best conventions and user-friendly systems for logging, naming, cataloguing, maintaining and organizing all departmental media assets
Create internal process for distribution of graphics assets both intra- and interdepartmentally
Convert archived assets to contemporary formats to ensure ongoing usability and functionality
Alongside Network engineering department, monitor, protect, and maintain the viability of media asset management and distribution systems
Perform or enlist regularly scheduled maintenance and upkeep for systems
Understand and adhere to all Network guidelines for storage and distribution of media assets
Work alongside other departments to maintain management and distribution consistency across the brand as needed
Provide regular training to existing and new employees in regard to media asset management system
Minimum three years’ experience in managing a media asset workflow in a TV/Digital Media Network.
Experience with Final Cut Pro and AVID non-linear edit systems
Proficient in encoding and transcoding video files
Strong problem identification and reporting skills
Ability to estimate time and effort needed to complete a project with reasonable accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
