Candidate provides assistance to medical doctors, fellows, residents, nurses and students. Provides trained paramedical support in administering healthcare in outpatient clinic setting.
Directs the patient to the examination room. Conducts clinical tests and procedures that are within their scope of practice including but not limited to vitals, EKG, venipucture, PFT, blood sugars, etc. Reviews patient history through a personal interview with the patient. Assists physicians with examinations. Schedules patients appointments and tests as needed.
Orders and stocks needed clinic supplies. Maintains and schedules repair of diagnostic testing equipment. Complete tasks, scan documents into patient charts to make sure record complete. Scrub charts before patient appointments to make sure all appropriate tests are there for physician. Clean and stock rooms and unit.
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
Use and care of standard clinic equipment.
Excellent communication skill, verbal and written.
