Performs patient check out procedures, schedules follow up and/or referral visits and collects deductibles and co-pays. Assists physicians and resident physicians when completing physical examinations. Obtains laboratory specimens and prepares them for transport. Provides clerical support and maintains systematic initiation and follow up of scheduled events. Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Medical Assistant Diploma.
Six months to one year of physician office experience preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
