Reviews CMS 1500 medical bills to determine relatedness of charge(s) and appropriateness of care.
Reviews and applies appropriate CPT, ICD-9, and HCPC coding for services rendered.
Provides and receives information for the department in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
Communicates effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
Ensures appropriate demographics and fee scheduling of instate and out-of-state billings.
Assists adjuster with correctness and appropriateness of coding on billings.
Continuing education to keep current with the reimbursement industry standards.
