The Florida Hospital Transplant Center is seeking a preeminent UNOS certified Gastroenterologist to lead the Liver Transplant program. Established in 2007, this highly successful multi-disciplinary practice is owned and operated by Florida Hospital. This dynamic leader with strong clinical skills will be responsible for the oversight of the medical team, program growth, and development of innovative strategies to integrate the surgical and medical services of the Liver Transplant and Hepatology program. Key characteristics candidate must demonstrate include successful leadership track record, proven ability to forge and maintain physician relationships, and a tenacious commitment to preserve the solid reputation of Florida Hospital in the society of transplantation. This new physician will evaluate patients with a spectrum of liver problems including management of primary liver disease, evaluation of metastatic/primary liver cancers and end-stage liver failure requiring liver transplant. Opportunity to participate in clinical research, resident and fellow education, and have an affiliation with University of Central Florida’s College Medicine which opened in 2009.
This opportunity would be based at Florida Hospital Orlando, a large 1100+ bed facility located just north of downtown Orlando. The hospital is home to our general surgery residency, internal medicine residency, as well as 150+ ICU beds.

Requirements for this position include fellowship training in gastroenterology, hepatology, completion of an ACGME approved internal medicine residency, and board certification through the ABMS in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology.
The Florida Hospital Transplant Center is at Florida Hospital Orlando, just outside downtown Orlando. The office site is steps away from the hospital in an adjacent medical office building.
