Under general direction, performs and reports diverse and basic clinical laboratory tests and procedures in one or more sections of the laboratory. Demonstrates basic decision making skills involving laboratory tests and test interpretation. According to established and varied accreditation standards, maintains quality control procedures, calibrates scientific equipment and provides clinically accurate and relevant patient results. Performs specimen collection as needed.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Associate of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related science discipline.
Completion of an accredited clinical internship or equivalent experience/training as required by the Board of Registry for Certification.
Certified MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), CLT(NCA) or CLT(CSLT) or registry eligible (refer to policy re: registry eligibility). Registry eligible must successfully pass registry exam within 1 year.
Problem solving ability, mathematical skills, able to coordinate technical and support operations, computer knowledge, good communication skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
