Our family practice located in Garner is looking for a full time Medical Office Assistant to join our team.
Maintains a welcoming environment for patients and guests..
Processes financial patient information (obtaining/up-dating insurance information, entering charges for office/home visits; balancing receipts for day and month, responding to questions related to billing from patients and PBO).
Performs computerized patient scheduling of appointments; generation of schedules, reports and forms as well as other related computer functions.
Answers telephone directing calls appropriately including providing accurate and complete information when needed.
Receives and greets patients and visitors.
Processes mail (in-coming & out-going), delivers mail to appropriate person(s).
Provides back up and/or support for other team members.
Manages and cares for required resources including supplies, equipment, and facility.
Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prefer completion of an accredited medical adminstrative assisting program and previous experience in a medical office.
