Two Rivers Behavioral Health, a 105-bed acute
facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in the
Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For the
past 25 years the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals
in need. We currently have a position available for a Medical Records
Clerk to work on PRN or as needed basis (average hours per week
16 to 20 depending on the needs of the facility). The
successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant or Clerk is
responsible for processing medical records to completed format for
permanent retention. Also responsible for retrieval and usage of
medical information from those records in a variety of formats.
Patient chart assembly, tracking compliance and occasional medical
record coding may be required.

Successful candidates for this position must meet
the following requirements:
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent
in college credit. Courses in medical/anatomical terminology.
Experience: Use of ICD-9-CM coding system for diagnoses and
procedures a plus. Accurate typing skills at the rate of 70 words per
minute and expertise in the use of all Microsoft Office products
Licensure/Certification: CCS credentials
in coding preferred.
Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of
medical terminology. Knowledge of digital archiving systems a plus.
Good verbal and written communication skills required. Mathematical
and clerical skills required.
