The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Answering and handling incoming phone calls;
Logging medical record requests in the Cortack database;
Handling clerical and administrative tasks;
Remaining knowledgable of all HIPAA laws;
Processing medical records request in accordance with company guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and Federal and State laws.
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employee must be 18 years of age or older;
High school graduate or equivalent;
Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred);
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations;
Familiarity of Patient First's Medical Records system (preferred);
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Prior work experience in the medical record field (preferred);
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Access.
