JOB

SUMMARY:
The Medical Records Assistant
is responsible for receipt and preparation of all materials related
to internal and external correspondence and requests for medical
records information. The Medical Records Assistant abstracts and
assembles patient discharge records in accordance with established
policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the
philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.

chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to

Requirements

Education: &nb

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer graduate of an approved school of health information science.

Experience: &nb
sp;
Must have at least one year in medical records
department, preferrably inpatient hospital setting. Psychiatric
setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification: &nb
sp; N/A

Knowledge: &nb
sp;
Prefer knowledge of medical, psychiatric and medical
records terminology, procedures and functions, confidentiality and
release of information laws, secretarial skills to include typing at
50 words per minute and various computer and word processing
programs.
