Under the direct supervision of the Practice Administrator and within established Catholic Medical Center and Departmental policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions: Photocopies, logs, and distributes transcribed material to the appropriate people and departments. Delivers reports and medical records to appropriate hospital department or floor. Collects outgoing and incoming mail for distribution. Returns x-rays to appropriate referral offices. Locates or creates charts for the catheterization and EP Lab as directed by the Records Assistant (2). Types or prepares envelopes for distribution of material. Utilizes the computer to locate patients within the hospital. Exercises care in the use and operation of Catholic Medical Center equipment and reference materials. Maintains work area in a clean and organized manner. Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Typing, filing, computer, experience in the medical office setting preferred.
