Plan, design and coordinate a record information system appropriate for the evaluation of patient care utilization services.

Implementation of systems approach in order to streamline workflow resulting in more effective record information control.

Coordinate and integrate into the patient information system all records, indexes and reports that relate to the professional care of the patient and administrative management.

Assist the medical staff in the use of the selected terminology and classification systems so that the information can be retrieved in an expedient fashion.

Acts as contact for all legal matters with insurance companies and attorneys.

Process change of status and adjust records accordingly.

Archive discharged records and maintains archive area.

Copy required documentation for CHHA, other offices, etc. Forward to appropriate person for mailing.

Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.


Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.

At least one year related experience is required.

Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology / technology is preferred.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.

Talking and hearing are regular requirements.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are regular requirements.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to write, use a computer and manipulate documents.
