Operates automated chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, blood bank and setting up microbiology culturing.
Performs necessary quality control, instrument preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. QC is 100% compliant according to QC procedure. Notifies supervisor of abnormal, unexpected results, instrumentation problems.
Attends at least 80% of staff meetings. Participates in the training of new employees.
Employee has willingness and ability to perform additional duties in different areas of the department/hospital on an as-needed basis.
Communicates well with management, co-workers and physicians, reporting problems with equipment, supplies, or procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor of Science OR Health & Human Certificate (HHS) OR American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
3 years of hospital experience preferred
State of Nevada - Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or obtain provisional license within 6 weeks and clinical license within 6 months.
