High school diploma or GED. 1-3 months related experience and/or training. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Listens to recording and transcribes physician's notes into well-organized and accurate typewritten statements. Detects discrepancies in dictation and edits accordingly. Translates complex medical terms and ensures that the meaning of the reports does not change. Developes and extensive knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with a variety of medical documents. Performs general receptionist duties.
