Reporting to the Director of the Region, responsible for P&L management and profitable membership growth for Medicare Advantage products. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Strategic planning and project coordination with multiple matrix operating partners (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, Provider Contracting, Finance, Actuarial, IT, Operations). Overseeing activities and ongoing management of key strategic initiatives within the region. Utilizing knowledge of assigned regions marketplace including knowledge and portfolios of major competitors to effectively position Medicare products to win in the marketplace. Leading the organization to achieve specific operating gain and membership goals as defined by the annual plan.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 5+ years of leadership/management experience in a health plan setting , marketing products, and managing significant business results; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA or MHA preferred. Excellent quantitative , interpersonal and strategic skills required. Ability to travel required.
Demonstrated depth in provider network, management and medical management are a plus. Past P&L management experience for a Medicare Advantage health plan is a plus.
