Day to Day Responsibilities:
Leadership and management of third level troubleshooting for operational issues. Worldwide manufacturing support.
Technical analysis of melting and delivery processes. Application of analytical results to improving processes and meeting customer requirements. Interface with Research and Development for production trials of new products, processes, and technology. Interface with Plant Engineering to facilitate the introduction of new processes, products, and technology into manufacturing. Manage the design and implementation of process experiments. Worldwide Migration of new Processes, Products, and Technologies within Glass Technologies. Project leadership to include migration management and implementation. Melting Optimization portfolio - Manage projects with worldwide impact on melting process. Project leadership: Develop new technology to improve melting operations. New technology includes operational practices, raw materials, and process design. Support manufacturing startups and expansions worldwide. Support equipment repair activities as required worldwide.

Process Excellence - Six Sigma, DMAIC and Manufacturing Engineering Excellence Technology deployment and migration.
Role within group:
Experienced Process/Project Engineer who is able to manage projects from inception through migration across production lines in multiple locations. The individual should be able to interact confidently across multiple disciplines within the organization, including research and development, glass science, project management, plant staff and plant melting organizations.
B.S. in Engineering discipline-Chemical, Glass Science, Materials Science, or Ceramic Engineering degree. Strong technical skills. Statistical analysis and application of statistical tools for process control and management. Computing environment skills
M.S. in Engineering discipline Multi-lingual Glass manufacturing experience
